These logs are excerpts from my daily all-band reports, mainly SWBC, also
VHF/UHF, sometimes utility, ham, which may be found in several archives without
much delay, such as
http://www.hard-core-dx.com/index.php?topic=Hauser

And compiled weekly along with extensive news from many other individuals and
publications in DX LISTENING DIGEST:
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxldmid.html

All my MW DX reports starting August 2011 are archived in this forum with open
access:
http://forums.wtfda.org/showthread.php?6543-MW-DX-from-Enid-OK-by-Glenn-Hauser/page27

All times and dates strictly UT. Rx: mostly DX-398 or PL-880 with internal
antenna only; Nissan stock caradio as specified; FRG-7 with E-W longwire as
specified

** MEXICO. 640, Oct 29 at 0536 UT, Spanish song, 0537 mention ``BM Radio``
grupo. I already know this operates in Chihuahua, heard on some other
frequencies, so which of the two 640s in that state? From
http://www.gbmradio.com/ it`s XEJUA in Juárez, as their Parral affiliate must
be one of the FMs. Usual references are not helpful when searching by Grupo
(except for some national chains), altho this is a significant part of a
station`s identity and likely to be mentioned on air as in this case. Even the
search funxion within http://mexicoradiotv.com gets no resultados for BM Radio
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 770, Oct 25 at 1244, PSA about mosquitos from the Sinaloa department
of Salud, 1245 back to ``Los 40 Principales``, i.e. Top 40 from XEREV, Los
Mochis, 5/0.1 kW per IRCA Mexican Log 2014. Sinaloa, in the sesquimegameter
range, continues to be a hotspot for MexDX at SRS here which is 1248 UT today;
see also 1410 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 1190, Oct 29 at 0123 UT, mentions Padre Miguel Ángel ---, program
promo for `El Tiempo de Dios` miércoles en ``Contacto 11-90``; website in .mx
(not to be converted to music!), ad for PAN party, Policía Federal PSA,
Secretaría de Gobernación. Loops N/S. That slogan leads right to Monterrey NL
in WRTH 2014 (i.e. from more than a year ago) and the 2014 IRCA Mexican Log:
XECT, 10/0.1 kW, I wonder which? Lots of QRM to combat on this channel. Cantú
also agrees except name as merely ``Contacto`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 1300-, Oct 24 at 1405 UT, romantic music in Spanish, 1407 UT ``son
las 8 --- con 7`` autotimecheck, from the UT-6 zone; no doubt XEP Ciudad
Juárez, still dominant slightly on lo side compared to neighbors, making fast
SAH with Tulsa(?), still in more than an hour after sunrise here with its 38 kW
day power, second in CiJz only to XEROK 800 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 1410, Oct 25 at 1255 UT, PSA from the Secretaría de -algo- de
Sinaloa. IRCA shows XECF, Los Mochis, 10/0.5 kW, La Mexicana. Sinaloa, in the
sesquimegameter range, continues to be a hotspot for MexDX at SRS here which is
1248 UT today; see also 770. City-to-city distance Los Mochis-to-Enid is: 1583
km = 984 miles (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 1510, Oct 25 at 0112 UT, with WLAC nulled, romantic song in Spanish,
YL really belting it out, but fades out and in; 0117 DJ introduces next tune as
``tiempo de vals`` and it certainly is, vocal with a strong 3/4 beat almost
matching the meter of the pumping subaudible heterodyne with WLAC, or a third
station? 0121 another announcement, and next a rock song in English, or is that
another station? 0130 another longer announcement by OM DJ conversing with a YL
who laughs, about compositores, then a polca.

Nowhen is there anything resembling an ID, ad or local reference, which
furthers my assumption that it`s cultural XEQI, Monterrey NL; but I am almost
to the point of pining for an intrusive super-hype voice actor to shout an ID
every three minutes like on many other Mexicans. Last year`s IRCA Mexican Log
showed power as 50/0.25 kW, but this year, it`s 10 kW period in the day-power
column, but ``24 hours``. WRTH 2014 also showed 10 kW fulltime; and Cantú
currently has it at 10 kW days only. The slogan to be caught is ``La Nueva
Radio`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Pacific carrier search Oct 28 at 1250-1252 UT: JBA carriers
on 774, 702, 612, the last two looping westward rather than northwestward,
probably 2BL in Sydney and 4QR in Brisbane, both ABC Local Radio network
outlets with 50 kW. Our sunrise today 1251 UT, latening by one minute each day
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Pacific carrier search around sunrise Oct 30 at 1249-1254
UT: JBA carriers on 594, 702, 774, 864, 882, 972, 1053. Neighbor Richard Allen
has been getting a lot of these lately with some audio via his souped-up
ferrite antenna {plus much longer and earlier monitoring sessions} (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1600-1602+, Oct 24 at 1401-1403+ UT, noise blob moving slowly
upward across 1600 station, as previously heard in the 1610-1620+ range in the
night; so maybe it`s something nearby (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
