Hello All,

For those who may have interest in Washington state TIS stations, on the return
trip from Grayland on November 8th I made the usual I-5 transit of the Fort
Lewis (now JBLM, or "Joint Base Lewis McChord) army base and noticed that the
low-powered 1500 kHz TIS station was no longer broadcasting any messages
related to the army base itself. It was relaying NOAA weather reports for the
western Washington state area, similar to what the 1610-Aberdeen TIS station
relays (or did relay). I don't know if this change has been reported
previously, but the station has been heard outside of Washington state,
including by Patrick in Seaside, OR (who showed me a QSL letter that he
received from the army base).
