Jim Renfrew, Clarendon 1743 Religious program, gives NC address 1747 Ad for Menard's (during this time I was driving through Greece NY - one long rf buzz) 1810 WKDO 1820 WV Highway Safety PSA = WFSP 1829 sports talk 1900 I think what follows is all WFSP: Blaze Radio Network news, ad for "The Blaze", "the truth lives here", Pat & Stu program mentioned. 107.7 (sounds like "WEEO"), Music "Sledgehammer", 1912 Blaze opportunity to go to London, England, 1915 40 years broadcasting (sounds like "WEIO"), then a pitch to advertisers that mentions WFSP 107.7. 1921 "Celebrate" disco music. ID "WEEO the music you love 107.7". 1925 "Dancing Queen" 1928 "The only channel 107.7 FM. 1929 "Daniel" 1933 "Lying Eyes"
So it's WFSP-AM making liberal use of daytime power this evening, but why so many IDs that sound like WEEO - not even close to "WFSP"? According to the WFSP web page, AM is Gospel music. Not tonight. Seems like someone forgot to push a couple of switches. I hadn't heard of Blaze Radio Network, but - bingo - it's Glen Beck. This station reminds me of the old WSAY 1370 in Rochester, mixing John Birch Society PSAs with rock and roll. _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
