Hello All, Another fairly sharp sunrise enhancement around 1415 brought several low and middle band Asians up to good levels, although the high band stayed comatose throughout the session. Several unusual Asians on 657, 936 and 1044 also made brief appearances, but didn't sound very energetic. At my 1405 start time the big guns on 594, 828 and 972 were setting the pace, already at fair levels in the predawn twilight. 594-JOAK once again broke out of the pack with good level Japanese speech at 1410, followed by several very good peaks from 972-HLCA in and out of "Freedom 970." Like yesterday 657-Pyongyang made a ghostly appearance at 1413 with its spooky female vocal music, but unlike yesterday there was also some decent variety on the middle band, with 936 (Anhui?) reaching threshold level around 1425 and 1044-CRI's Japanese service managing an anemic level around 1435. This relatively diverse collection of Asians didn't stick around for long in the frozen back yard, however, with all of them sinking into the noise by 1445. Best signals of the session were from 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA-- both reaching good peaks from 1410-1435 in and out of the splatter. The usual low band performer 603-HLSA was strangely missing in action, though, and the dead silence on the high band sounded almost bizarre. 594 JOAK Tokyo, Japan Japanese male speech at a good level at 1410; best NHK signal of the session http://www.mediafire.com/listen/ia1uge840rxzw7x/594-JOAK-1410z030515CCSW.MP3 657 Pyongyang BS Pyongyang, S.
