Hello All,

The NHK big guns cooled off considerably from yesterday's torrid levels but
there were still some healthy Asians to be found, mostly on the low band. A
potent sunrise enhancement kick around 1400 gave a serious boost to the Koreans
on 603 and 972, with 657's dreary music also somewhat enhanced.

At my 1315 start time it was pretty obvious that the Japanese big guns had
reverted back to their typical March levels, with only 594 and 693 managing
good peaks in and out. Although 972-HLCA was unusually strong for most of the
predawn darkness (and the other middle band Asians on 1044 and 1053 also
managing weak audio) the high band once again featured only 1566-HLAZ with fair
peaks in and out. Around 1400 the increasing daylight brought both 603-HLSA and
657-Pyongyang out of the noise to reach fair levels, and also gave a potent
boost to 972-HLCA (over the "Freedom 970" splatter). 603-HLSA continued to
build up strength to a very good level around 1407 (with "Amazing Grace" being
played by the deep-voiced male) but 657-Pyongyang's dreary, undermodulated
music never managed more than fair peaks before sinking into the splatter
prematurely. 594-JOAK was the only NHK big gun reaching anything close to
yesterday's enhanced level, with a very good peak briefly around 1330. Overall
the session fell quite a bit short of yesterday's in both signal strength and
variety, but the selective and sharp sunrise enhancement kick to the Koreans
(especially 603-HLSA) from 1400-1410 definitely made for an interesting
conclusion.
