Hello All,

It was another wild and wacky morning for huge signals from the big gun
Japanese and Korean TP's, but aren't we getting somewhat used to it by now? A
spot check of the band at 1125 UTC revealed thunderous signals from the NHK big
suns and 972-HLCA-- prompting a quick FSL antenna setup in the rainy back yard
(at a pretty bizarre hour).

972-HLCA was the main star of the predawn darkness with S9+ signals in and out,
but 594, 693, 747, 774, 828 and 1566 were all pounding in with excellent
strength from 1130-1230. Usually the second-tier Asians have trouble managing
much audio here before traces of daylight but during the predawn darkness there
were also good signals in and out from 603-HLSA (mixing with China at times),
657-Pyongyang and the 1053-Jammer-- which was fortunate, because the sunrise
enhancement period after 1400 was somewhat of a fizzler here. Unlike during the
previous two exciting days this week (Tuesday and Thursday) the high band also
shared somewhat in the TP bonanza, with 1566-HLAZ's Japanese service managing
excellent peaks in and out between 1300-1340, and both 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1
fair at times. The propagation for second-tier Asians on the low band was best
between 1300 and 1350, with most of the signals dropping off with the
increasing daylight. Overall the session was far superior to the usual March
mediocrity, with 972-HLCA reaching some of the most potent TP levels ever
recorded here in Puyallup.
