Hello All,

Asians signals took a nosedive this morning as September's first clunker
session was delivered in full force. Two ghostly Asians and 738-Tahiti did
manage to squeak through with audio around peak sunrise enhancement, but even
they were MIA for most of the session.

At my 1300 start time the Asians were comatose indeed, with only 594 and 738
delivering moderate heterodynes. Nothing much changed until 1320, when 603
joined the moderate heterodyne group. It seemed like the clunker session would
deliver a TP audio shutout until 1325, when 594-JOAK's carrier rose up and
eeked out a few seconds of ghostly speech. Not to be outdone, 603 then did the
same, bailing after a few seconds of wispy pop music. A 738 signal bearing
toward Tahiti waited until San Francisco splatter bit the dust at 1330 before
making a ghostly appearance with apparent R&B music, fading in and out until
1335. The session was a true clunker in comparison to the past few days, and a
stark reminder that we shouldn't expect too much in early September of a lean
solar year.
