Once again it was a potent session for the Japanese big guns but without very
much variety in anything else. Besides the NHK flamethrowers there were good
signals in and out from the usually strong 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ, but anything
else outside of Japan had to go against the trend.

My session in the rainy back yard started out at 1255 with 693-JOAB already at
an S9 level, with 594, 747 and 774 not far behind. Increasing daylight around
1310 brought 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ up to good levels in and out, the
1053-Jammer up to a fairly anemic jam, 1044-CRI's Japanese service up to a poor
level and 738-BEL2 mixing weakly with the San Francisco splatter. 657-Pyongyang
also got in a few seconds of tirade around 1313 but was quickly silenced by the
domestic splatter. One of the very few unusual Asians to show up was a presumed
936-Anhui, with poor-level Chinese for a few seconds around 1315. The Japanese
big guns continued to dominate the session with very little changing until late
at 1345, when 603-HLSA very briefly reached a poor to fair level with its
deep-voiced male introducing pop music. Overall results were almost identical
to yesterday, with great signals from the NHK big guns but meager results for
anything else.
