I checked here after seeing both your reports Nick and it certainly is pretty slim pickings here - carriers about but mostly very weak and only visible when narrowing the RBW on the Perseus. So far this season I'd expect to see this low level of activity almost every and any evening. So whatever mechanism is at play it's certainly not favouring us tonite. And I saw Nigel poking around on my remotes too in search mode...
