Those hoping for improved Asian signals hoped in vain this morning as a negative sunrise enhancement finished off the meager predawn audio coming from several big guns. In the total darkness at 1410 there were ghostly gasps on 594, 693 and 972, but these all bailed soon after daybreak around 1430. The extended solar tantrum didn't even allow the usual compensating signal from 738-Tahiti, which was completely MIA. It's tough to imagine the sunrise DX getting much worse-- but during this lackluster season it seems like a pretty safe bet. 73 and Good DX, Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) 7.5" loopstick C.Crane Skywave Ultralight + 15" FSL antenna _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca
