Those hoping for improved Asian signals hoped in vain this morning as a 
negative sunrise enhancement finished off the meager predawn audio coming from 
several big guns. In the total darkness at 1410 there were ghostly gasps on 
594, 693 and 972, but these all bailed soon after daybreak around 1430. The 
extended solar tantrum didn't even allow the usual compensating signal from 
738-Tahiti, which was completely MIA. It's tough to imagine the sunrise DX 
getting much worse-- but during this lackluster season it seems like a pretty 
safe bet.
