Back in the 60's and 70's North American DXers would thrill to sensitive MW-DXing portables designed in Japan-- but now the situation is being completely reversed. Satoshi Miyauchi of Sagamihara, Japan was the second DXer outside of the USA to successfully build one of the new 3" Bar FSL Tecsun PL-380 models (after Jerry Popiel in Winnipeg, Manitoba), and is now having a blast with his "Science Fiction PL-380" model (a photo of which is posted at https://app.box.com/s/4r7ded25gmywj1ky0dkvau6a4midrl5z ) Satoshi was kind enough to share three MP3's made with his newly modified PL-380, all of them international DX catches of stations far from Japan.
