Thank you very much for your generous comments about Satoshi's reception of 
630-4QN in Japan, and also about the FSL-enhanced PL-380 model. The Japanese do 
have somewhat of an advantage in transoceanic DXing because almost all of them 
live within an hour's train ride of an ocean beach. We should all be so lucky! 
  
Todd, I wish that there was enough time here to make these models for others, 
but about the best that I can manage right now is to post the detailed 
information on how to construct these "Science Fiction PL-380" models (at 
http://www.mediafire.com/download/w0gcek56f6aq7kr/3_Inch_FSL_Tecsun_PL.doc  ), 
and try to help out if someone can't track down the parts. Someone who is 
technically qualified and who has some spare time could probably make these 
quite easily, if he can find his own supply of the 100mm ferrite bars (the 
current supply bottleneck).
