Patrick (and Les), I'm very sorry about the windstorm and related damage, Patrick. After multiple visits to your property I can tell by your description that it was an extremely destructive event. I've also experienced the vicious nature of these Oregon ocean coast windstorms during an ill-advised DXing trip to the Rockwork ocean cliff in November of 2012, and very well remember all of the huge trees dropped by the 2007 windstorm in the area. Here in inland western Washington we have the same weather front, but it's 99% rain. In western Washington and BC this is the normal winter situation, and we only really pay attention to the weather when rare sunshine (or much stronger wind, or snow) comes around. 73, Gary
