Results here were down as well this morning, with much less variety in the
Asians that showed up. Chinese stations in particular dropped off, although
very late in sunrise enhancement there was a ghostly appearance of CRI stations
on 1044, 1206 and 1323 (maybe a watered-down version of the boost that Nick
observed?).

If you guys plan to stay on the beach until tomorrow morning there should be a
third ocean coast report to add to yours (although not at an Oregon cliff site
as I had hoped, because of local family commitments). A collection of FSL's,
hot-rodded PL-380's and digital recorders will be heading to the closest (and
cheapest) salt water available-- the illustrious town of Grayland.

Had a similar impression on Gabriola about the relative quality of DX this
morning, then about an hour after sunrise, Chinese stations started to
appear (and hadn't been around earlier particularly).   No Anhui today, but
CNR6 on 1089 had a very listenable piano concerto //6165.   Because of
daylight, there were a number of weak 9kHz channels that would otherwise
have been missed earlier, and likely will remain unidentified.  This lasted
20 or 30 minutes, who knows why, but a pleasant end to the visit.

best wishes,

Nick
