It sounds like they are more interested in shutting down pirates rather than 
fixing the issue. The FCC is also repacking the TV dial too. I don't have a lot 
of hope for either. One big issue is that the World has changed. Streaming is 
getting to be the norm for a lot of listening and viewing. The young people 
never listen to the radio, let alone AM. They stream everything they want of 
iTunes, You Tube, Netflix, you name it. If the US had coast to coast wifi/cel 
phone streaming at a decent price, OTA radio & TV would be dead.  But right now 
like here streaming in the van is expensive. Verizon has good service here, but 
expensive for constant stream via cel towers. AM is plagued by noise. Even some 
of it gets into FM.
