Asian signals made a halfhearted recovery here this morning, led by the
Japanese and Korean big guns. Signals were not very impressive in either
quality or quantity, though, with results almost the same as those reported by
Dennis earlier.

In the predawn darkness at 1230 there were finally some Asian carriers again
(after two dead days) on 594, 693, 747, 774, 1053 and 1566. These big gun
frequencies all came up with modest audio during a lackluster sunrise
enhancement, with 594-JOAK, 747-JOIB, the 1053-Jammer and 1566-HLAZ reaching
fair peaks in and out. The second tier Asians all stayed down in the noise,
with very few Chinese stations even reaching a carrier level. Overall the
session was dreary, but certainly preferable to the total shutout of the past
two days.
