It was speculated in a recent IRCA Technical Column that this is a tablet based version of something like the CommRadio CR-1 Les. That is, a single frequency radio using SDR technology. This isn't a bad thing, but it possibly is not capable of wideband recording.

Seriously, the noise levels have become so bad here that recording SDR files in the quiet countryside is quickly becoming the only real option. Currently, that means packing up the laptop, SDR, antennas, etc. It’s daunting—and I’ve been looking for soolutions to make the whole thing more portable. This product would certainly help in that regard.

How quickly can I purchase them? :-)
