The real reason isn't so intriguing, since it was simply a failure to account 
for the recent Standard Time change in the UTC figures. The Asian DX 
propagation peaks (if you can call them that) followed the same general pattern 
in Puyallup and Victoria, although as usual Puyallup got the short end of the 
stick-- not that either location is about to compete with Galena or Haida 
Gwaii.

I haven't looked through the recordings yet, but live listening said 
that things got mildly interesting here around 
1515-1525UT....enhancement at sunrise; intriguing that Gary was 
hearing things an hour earlier. 

1566 was perfectly readable for a minute or two, especially on the 
north Flag, and 1593 was weak but //6125 for a firm CNR1. Also there 
was a small bit of audio on 594 at the same time. So, looks like 
winter DX is starting to appear.
