There was nothing like Paul's potent Asians on 873 and 1566 here this morning,
but nothing like -18 degree weather, either (an interesting tradeoff). The
Puyallup version of TP-DX was considerably watered down, with a few big guns on
693, 747, 774. 972. 1053 and 1566 managing fair audio from 1420-1445, and a
sunrise enhancement boost around 1500 raising up almost all the regulars on the
high band. 1566-HLAZ's Chinese service hit some good peaks around 1515, while
1503-JOUK and 1593-CNR1 managed fair levels in and out. 1575-VOA was at a poor
to fair level, but bailed very quickly. Once again the second-tier Asians were
not impressed with the conditions, and stayed at weak carrier level. Such was
the story of another lackluster morning.
