It begs the question - this was 1 of a single handful  of days with really
good conditions.

This morning the tropical SW bands were lit up like a Christmas tree.

Is today an example of normal and settled conditions? And all those other
days were simply indicative of a truly crappy season that we have been
having?

I caught the tail end of the opening this morning at 1530 and it was
stunning for a few minutes - was nice to see for a change - Hopefully in
January there will be a little of
this excitement in Kona, Hawaii.
