For the first time in memory the Asian DX here was practically identical to
what Richard reported from Oklahoma-- except for the part that it was probably
the best TP-DX in the past month :-) The usual collection of Asian big guns on
594, 693, 747, 828, 972, 1053 and 1566 showed up from 1430-1530 with moderate
signals, to be joined by anemic high band appearances from 1503-JOUK and
1593-CNR1 late in the session. The NHK big guns along with 972 and 1053 started
to bail with the daylight around 1500, while 1503 and 1593 fizzled out by 1520.
1566-HLAZ's Chinese service was the sole survivor at 1530, maintaining fair
audio in and out until around 1550. Overall the session was fairly average for
December, and the fourth day in a row that Asian propagation has continued a
downward trend.
