Asian propagation was fairly normal during antenna testing from 1200-1300 here,
but took a dramatic swoon around 1320. A potent signal from 1566-HLAZ with
several S9 peaks had fizzled out completely by the end of the Japanese program,
along with occasional weak audio from the big guns on 774, 828 and 972. By 1400
the band sounded like a real clunker, with Asian audio nowhere to be found.
This must have been the onset of the geomagnetic storm described by Richard.
