Wow-- what an awesome TP-DX report, Colin! This is far and away the most
successful transoceanic DXing session that a 7.5" loopstick Ultralight radio
has ever had, during their 8 years of existence.

Thanks for the vicarious DXing fun-- which is totally lacking here in the BC/
WA ice rink.

Subject: [IRCA] TP for 11Jan2017 from Kona

Unlike Walt's dreary report from the wet and windy cold of Haida Gwaii, Kona
was mildly lively.

549 -- CC one of the loudest stations lower band -

585 -- 7RN - AUS - assuming the EE speaker here sounding // to 612 and 630

630 -- CNR2 - when Aus wasn't poking thru this channel, all Chinese talk and
music

657 -- DPRK -- very light with Choral music

693 -- NHK - assuming the LAN lessons // 702 and 747

729 -- chatter in what sounded like Tagalog...

783 -- solid CC talk and music

837 -- huge CC talk

909 - loud Chinese pop music station

936 - loud pop music station - no Lang heard

999 - Tagalog sound talk and music.

1044 - loud CC or indigenous Lang. Likely CRI

1143 - likely Taiwan with CC talk

1332 - actual Aussie sounding EE talk

1575 - SE ASIA sounding talk - likely Thailand

Receiver - E100 - Debock modded

Time - 1400 to 1430U

Colin Newell - CoffeeCrew.com - VA7WWV - Victoria - BC
