A bit of life today, but mostly in the very early hours. Sunrise
here happened at 1517 UTC this morning, and things were certainly quite
dull well before that.
1098 V7AB MARSHALL IS Had just been a so-so carrier 2 minutes earlier,
but came up to audio with man talking at 1101. In/out for about 10
minutes, then returned to a carrier level
1116 4BC Brisbane, AUSTRALIA
Weak, with talk by a man at 1101 - presumably news. Similar level at
1400.
1548 4QD Emerald, AUSTRALIA
Came up briefly to audio in time for ABC news fanfare at 1100, and a
brief portion of the news before fading.
A reasonable number of carriers, seemingly all of DU origin. Not only
is the DX far from Hawaiian standards, so was the weather, with a wind
chill this morning at -40. But, at least my DXing is indoors!
