This morning was a dud, meriting a sentence at most, with only
carriers audible, and mostly only on the Asian big gun channels.
Yesterday (8th) was more interesting and rather unusual, as it's rather
rare that Nick reports DU while I report Asia, but yesterday was one of
those odd days. After several days of Asian drought, all the action was
from the Japanese big guns:
594 JOAK Tokyo, JAPAN Poor, with man and woman in Japanese at 1357.
693 JOAB Tokyo, JAPAN Poor, with peaks to fair during language
lesson at 1415.
747 JOIB Sapporo, JAPAN Poor, with with woman in Japanese at 1402.
774 JOUB Akita, JAPAN Fair, approaching good at times, with
language lesson at 1358.
828 JOBB Osaka, JAPAN Poor, with man and woman in Japanese at 1404,
//774 etc.
Regular DU channels like 702, 891, 1116 weren't doing much of anything.
Not much on the upper band either. A decent carrier from presumed Korea
on 1566, and a slightly weaker one from presumed Australia on 1548 was
about it.
