Current draw for the power inserter version (for receive-only use) is 70
mA at 12 volts, after I inquired of Larry at W6LVL. So the loop would
easily run on a small 12V gelcell. I also inquired how robust the preamp
was for overload resistance from strong signals, and that question was,
unfortunately, ignored. As contrast, Wellbrook loopamps generally draw
around 200 mA or more at 12V, and are very robust for
overload-resistance (and Pixel loopamp current, and robustness, is similar).

Hi Bob,
Please let us know of you results, after you had more time to test it.
I'm interested in its performance below 2MHz. Would also be interested
in details about the amp, if they are available.
The price difference compared to the Wellbrooke, and Pixel, is
substantial.
Thanks,

Just got mine, but have only had one opportunity to really test drive
it. Very
promising. Good sensitivity in MW and good nulls even down in to the
NDB band.
