Thanks to Paul Walker for solving a mystery which has dragged on for almost 5
years.

During the August 2012 Rockwork 4 DXpedition a 531 kHz DU station with a Modern
Rock format was received at a pretty strong level at the Rockwork 4 ocean cliff
near Manzanita, OR at 1310 on August 22nd. In between the two songs from Karmin
and The Cure, there was a brief ID slogan at 53 seconds into the recording

The problem was in deciphering exactly what the short, choppy female-voiced
slogan was. Two DU stations on 531 were playing modern rock at the time, and
neither had ever been reported during a west coast DXpedition (531-3GG, and
531-More FM). To make matters more interesting, the slogan sounded very much
like "Warragul" to me (the city location of 3GG in Australia). But after Paul
listened to it, he deciphered it as a short, choppy "More FM" ID. This finally
made sense, since although at the time 531-More FM had never yet been reported
on the west coast, it was "officially" received at that same location in June
of 2015 with the same format, and same short, choppy ID's. It is one of the
rarest Kiwi MW stations, having never been heard during any of the Grayland
DXpeditions. Thanks again, Paul.
