Fortaleza, Brazil on 760 close to "inbooming" level at 8 p.m. EDT / 25 AUG
(0000 UTC / 26 AUG)

Has been louder right on the beach but this isn't too bad for a home-based
reception with about 5 km / 3 miles of sandy pitch pine forest between here and
the ocean on that bearing.
Other recordings at about the same time:
Mauritania 783, by far the loudest TA here at the time.

Haiti on 840, almost a beach-grade signal with the "Dashing Through the Snow"
electronic interval signal and ID in French. Less co-channel junk (Brazil,
Cuba, etc.) than usual.

WIPR Puerto Rico 940 in the clear at 0001 UTC (had been tangling with Brazil 2
minutes earlier)

Possible WIAC Puerto Rico 740 overtaking R. Angulo pest. Will submit audio to
RealDX to confirm.

Other stuff noted but not worth grabbing audio since I have better clips from
other sessions.
780 ZBVI Carib-accented man; fair peak.
690 presumed Fortaleza, Brazil with man in Portuguese slightly over mess at
0002 UTC.
940 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with man in Portuguese, hymn; in jumble at 2359 UTC
and succumbing to WIPR later.
1020 Reloj Cuba dominant over other Spanish and less WINS IBOC hash than usual.
Many "usuals" (Venezuela 750, Colombia 1170 through WFPB, Cuban pests, etc.) in.
The capture gave me something more interesting to do than staying glued to the
TV during a Red Sox meltdown of apocalyptic proportions.
0000 UTC is still proving to be "money" time for the Brazilians.
