Hi Nick
I went back and re listened to 960 at 10:26 PT and didn't hear what you
heard. At 10:27 I managed to make out a promo for "94.9 The Rock",
which is a sibling of KLAD in Klamath Falls. Interestingly enough, there
is also a 94.9 in Provo, but it's called "Power 94.9" and doesn't have
the same owner as KOVO. So we had different stations on 960 even though
we're only 60 miles apart.

Hi Bruce,
For 960, had you considered Utah for the sports station? There
seemed to be quite a pipeline to Utah from here in Victoria during the
eclipse. Around 10:26PDT, there was a mention of west valley and
" Utah county's sports station", which is about as good an ID as I
could hope for. I think there was also mentions of ESPN, Salt Lake
etc. a bit earlier.
best wishes,
Nick

As promised, here is a listing of what my SDR captured here in
Seattle during this morning's eclipse. I mostly heard Oregon and
northern California stations, plus KSL and a few from Idaho. There
was a very pronounced enhancement between about 10:10 and 10:30 PDT,
after which things tapered off. The best reception was on the upper
part of the band. Relatively few skywave signals were heard below
900, and most of those weren't very exciting. Best catches of the
morning were stations in Eureka, Redding, Sacramento and Merced CA,
as well as the Idaho stations on 1350 and 1290.
.....
960 unid 10:22 sportstalk weak, KLAD or KALE?
