Further to studying the excellent resource you mention, Bruce ( worldaerodata.com), it's clear to me that the airport at Ust-Bolsheretsk is closed. The NDB is probably used for helicopter traffic now. All this discussion re NDBs got me wondering about PNG beacons in the X-band. We used to regularly hear GA in Goroka on 1725 and KUT, especially, on 1737 from Kumul Platform, but it's been years since I've seen any reports for ANY PNG X-band beacons. Is it that we're no longer looking, or that they're gone (although all still listed in the website above), or that they're no longer audible? Anyone hearing PNG anymore??? Walt
