Just getting back in the game after an almost complete absence at the morning radio dials -
Here are my notes from this morning - listening from 1350UTC to 1425 UTC in order by frequency. 567 Japanese speaking, 594 Japanese, 603 Korean pop music, 612 mix - DU sounding, 621 sombre martial music (DPRK likely), 639 variety of stuff underneath a local buzz, 657 Martial music fighting with splash, 666 Japanese speaking, 702 seemed mostly Japanese, 747 Japanese, 756 DU sounding, 774 armchair JJ talk, 792 DU sounding talk, 819 Korean, 828 Japanese, 837 TP sounding music, 855 muddy TP jumble, 909 and 918 JJ sounding, 945 Chinese, 963 Russian, 972 Korea - very good levels, 999 Chinese!, 1017 Japanese, 1044 Chinese, 1053 Korean/Japanese, 1098 DU Open carrier, 1116 DU sounding music, 1143 music, 1152 music, 1179 Chinese, 1188 Japanese, 1206 Chinese, 1242 Japanese, 1287 Japanese (huge), 1323 Russian, 1359 Chinese (t), 1386 Japanese, 1395 music, 1422 music, 1503 Japanese, 1539 music, 1566 Korea, 1575 S. Asian lang, 1593 Japanese... Not bad for maybe a low-average day. Starting to seriously consider a WebSDR at this location - because it is the perfect location for TP/DU. I can only imagine some of the good stuff that I have missed in the last month. I have access to an ELAD SDR but I simply have no time for reviewing WAV files in the evening - for me, it is live listening or nothing. DRAKE R8 / NRD525 W/NW Flag / ALA100LN Victoria B.C.
