There’s not a lot to be heard in East Asia on 1584, at least nothing of
significant power. There are two 10kw stations in China and only one is within
usual range of you. You have the Heilongjiang station that is Korean-language
and then you have three 1kw stations in South Korea (two were normal for me,
both just slightly out of sync), a lot of 100 watters in Japan – all NHKs – and
another lower-powered one in North Korea..

Naturally, you’d just hear enough audio to know it’s there but not enough to
know what it is.

The most interesting morning in a while here today, though all the
interest was in the very top end of the band.

1503 JOUK Akita, JAPAN Fair, with woman in Japanese at 1440.

1566 HLAZ Jeju, S,KOREA Poor with man in Japanese at 1437. A second,
reasonably substantial carrier at times on about 1566.035 was also noted.

1575 VOA THAILAND Presumed the one with music at 1438

1584 unID Just into audio with traces of talk observed at 1438. Also
second carrier noted at 1583.96.

1593 CNR1 Changzhou, CHINA Fair, with woman in Chinese at 1439. Like
yesterday, audible to just past 1500.

I've never had a definite Asian log on 1584, and indeed even any audio
there is a rare event. "Almost there" carriers also noted on 1386,
1422, 1548, and 1557.
Today a check showed that reception in Lamont was pretty much identical
to here.
