I just completed a quickie Caribbean cruise (Ft. L., St. Thomas,
Martinique, Grenada, Bonaire, Curaçao) and at night in St. Thomas,
noted a Radio Maria on 1240. It was pretty weak there but got
progressively stronger as we headed southward. I Googled it and found
a Radio Maria on 1240 in the Dominican Republic; it is not in WRTVH. I
vaguely recall from 5-10 years ago a 100+kw station on 1240 planned
for somewhere in Brazil but don’t recall ever seeing anything like
this reported.
Any ideas on what this might be?
