That was also my only stamp. 3/15/63 was they night I logged first KOA, then 
KSL and then KFI, each for the first time, an hour apart from each from NJ. All 
veried, and I've never heard KFI again and only KSL once - also in NJ. Neither 
from here.

OK, you started it.  Here goes … I remember the time my dad brought home a 
Nems-Clark field strength meter from WILS where he was CE and we stood in the 
basement, tuned to 640, nulled the Cuban on-freq and got KFI!  Probably 9 or 
10pm EST from Lansing, MI.  I’ll bet they never got a DX report with a field 
strength measurement before!  ;-)  As I recall it was a 200-300 
microvolts/meter.

That QSL was my ONLY DX stamp!  Nice letter from the CE too.

I was about 13 years old and hopelessly hooked!
