All times and dates strictly UT [5 hours ahead of `ELT` during EST; when
changing times one must also change the dates for events in the 00-05 UT period
to the previous date by ELT].

Rx: mostly DX-398 with internal antenna only or PL-880; NRD-545 with ALA-330S
inside E-W or inside randomwire N-S; Nissan stock caradio as specified; IC-R75
with E-W longwire. FRG-7 is no longer in use.

These logs are excerpts from my daily all-band reports, mainly SWBC, also
VHF/UHF, sometimes, utility, ham, which may be found in several archives
without much delay, such as
http://www.hard-core-dx.com/index.php?topic=Hauser

And compiled weekly along with extensive news from many other individuals and
publications in DX LISTENING DIGEST:

All my MW DX reports starting August 2011 are archived in this forum with open
access:

These logs are in four sections, Canada [if any], Oklahoma [if any], rest of
USA [if any], unidentified [if any], separated by ======= Within each, they are
in frequency order

** OKLAHOMA. 1230, Jan 15 at 1955 UT, WBBZ Ponca City VG by groundwave but dead
air during Rush Limbaugh; within a minute, a casino ad fires; followed by a PSA
(while 740 KRMG has Rush himself endorsing algo); 1958 UT ``News Talk 1230,
WBBZ``, more dead air, 1959 UT local ad, 2000 UT CBS News (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 600, Jan 18 at 0131 UT, ABC news headlines from NW/SE, ID as ``Your
only news station, KTBB-FM 97.5`` mixed with local Tyler TX ad. What? NRC AM
Log shows its FM is on 95.7, really K239CB. WTFDA FM Database clears up the
confusion. The 250-watt 95.7 translator goes with KYZS 1490, ESPN. The 97.5
KTBB-FM // 600 is licensed to Troup TX, 13 kW h/v, 121 m. Troup is about 15
miles SE of Tyler. NRC AM Log shows 1490 KYZS Tyler is axually ESPND, i.e.
Spanish, and in $tereo, what a bonus on a non-musical graveyarder (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1710 kHz, Jan 18 at 0716 UT, music with heavy beat, drumming,
sorta salsa, 0719 UT segué song sounds Spanish, deep fades, 0754 rouse in a
pause. Probably Bâton Rouge pirate Retén lo que Tienes (Retain What Thou Hast)
in a break from screaming gospel huxter, but could be some other pirate (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1710, Jan 16 at 0046 UT, normal sounding talk; ECSS helps a
little, but not enough to be sure it`s in English; also a SAH. Besides the
Spanish-screaming RLQT pirate in Louisiana, there`s also a new TIS station at
Bandelier National Monument near Los Álamos NM, discovered by Tim Hall from his
NV/UT Border Inn recordings. To be sought further (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

[no Mostly Mexican report this week: nothing but more JBA carriers from
Kiritimati, altho they are not insignificant]
