A quick band check in the predawn darkness at 1300 this morning showed fair to
good audio peaks on 594, 693, 747, 972 and 1566, but with all the second tier
Asian carriers anemic at best. With a trip to the Cook Islands planned tomorrow
and with another big-gun-only session seemingly in store, the obvious decision
was made to write the remainder of the session off, and be thankful for the
chance to temporarily escape this lackluster propagation in favor of some
serious ocean beach excitement in the center of Polynesia.
