On the quiet side this time around, but still lots of activity. I did spend a lot more time on the shortwave bands, though. Just a few observations from the week:
AUSTRALIA 891, 1158-, Radio TAB Jun 28 Interesting propagation on the MW band this morning. The top half has just dropped off (after being decent 30 minutes ago), leaving the bottom half solidly Down Under. Racing commentary, without any TOH ID. There's a weak cochannel as well giving a SAH. Also in English giving a phone number, but not sure whether still TAB or another. I see ABC Adelaide is listed cochannel with 50 kW, and the only other possible is Magic from Wellington NZ with 5 kW. Not sure. By 12:03, both are there, and TAB definitely sounds different than the cochannel (that gave the phone #). At 12:04, weather report. I'm pretty sure they said Adelaide. (Salmaniw,Masset, BC) JAPAN 1440, 1225-, JOWF Jun 29 Solidly back to Asian conditions this morning compared to DU the past couple of days. Good reception this morning, well over anything domestic. Little evidence of anything DU today. (Salmaniw,Masset, BC) MARSHALL ISLANDS 1098, 1216-, V7AB Jun 28 Strong buzzy OC is all I've been hearing since arriving in Masset several days ago. Particulary strong this morning.
