Thanks for the report Bruce. Thanks Roy too. Good to see East Coast DXing
being done. With somewhat lower static levels I suspect more will be getting
in on the action.
The capture I took a few nights back had reasonable TA activity. Last night's
0000 and 0300 UTC captures showed an auroral trend.
Sao Tome VOA 1530 was quite good at 0259 UTC sign-on, so if anyone reading this
hasn't logged it yet, try tonight starting a couple of minutes before 11 p.m.
EDT / 0300 UTC.
Though Great Lakes area and Canadian stations weren't completely suppressed
last night, they were noticeably weakened. 740 had R. Angulo (Cuba) atop at
0000 UTC with little evidence of CHCM or CFZM. Some of the Brazilians held in
well past typical sunset peak (they're often replaced by Colombians, Cubans, or
domestics later into the evening). At 0300 UTC, the 610 and 700 Brazilians
were still going strong, well over the other co-channel Latin Americans and
domestics. 700 had top-of-hour pips under that were likely from Argentina.
Maybe tonight we'll have a repeat.
