Another "throw in the towel" morning. I agree somewhat with Bruce and Nigel
that it wasn't as good as yesterday, signals were more erratic, yet there was
still a ton of audio, with many channels showing two or more, but weak, and
thrashed by splatter.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

594 JOAK man in Japanese 1307UT, and many other times

774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1305UT

828 JOBB...English lessons 1258UT

954 JOKR man in Japanese peaking at 1326UT

972 HLCA man and woman in Korean 1315UT

1566 HLAZ man in Japanese1302UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

693 JOAB English lessons //8281258UT

747 JOIB Chinese lessons 1322UT

873 JOGB Chinese lessons 1322UT

1053 man in Japanese, rather excited, sports? 1257UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could
be understood by a native speaker:

603 HLSA soft music //558 1338UT

612 4QR woman mentioning "ABC radio " 1337UT

666 JOBK man and woman talking //594

891 JOHK man talking //594 1337UT

963 CRI woman in Russian 1324UT

981 CNR1 two men in Chinese 1318UT, //945 1320UT

1134 KBS man in Korean 1309UT

1323 CRI ....woman in Russian 1302UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 JOQG man talking //666 1304-6UT

558 HLQH 1338UT soft music //603

603 1309UT instrumental music, with island tonality; not //558; Waatea?

702 NHK2 Chinese lessons //774 1321UT

711 man talking, Korean? 1333UT

729 JOCK musical interlude, man talking //594 1324UT

738 Taiwan Fisheries man talking after musical interlude //1143 1327UT

756 CNR1 man mumbling //945 1313UT

756 man and woman talking DU English intonation 1330UT

846 woman talking, Chinese intonation 1333UT

864 pop vocal 1320UT; Japan?

909 soft music , not //NHK2 1341UT, NZ likely

909 JOCB woman talking //774 1307UT

945 CNR1 two men talking //981 1320UT

1017 woman talking, maybe island language? 1319UT

1143 Taiwan Fisheries man talking, //738 1327UT

1179 man talking Japanese intonation 1257UT

1206 woman talking, maybe Korean, into vocal music 1257UT; about 40Hz low, so
likely Yanbian

1242 woman talking Japanese intonation 1314UT, likely JOLF?

1287 man and woman talking, Japanese intonation 1313UT

1296 JOTK man and woman talking, very weak, but //594 1327UT

1422 woman talking Japanese intonation

1593 man talking, Chinese intonation 1316UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged
by splatter)

 639 657 675 846 855 918 936 999 1008 1035 1089 1107 1215 1251 1269 1314
1332 1503 1575 seemed to be Asian;
 558 576 585 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
