Another exciting morning. A few less Japanese today, but better for
Korea and China. In fact I have never heard Taiwan so well on 738, as
it hardly ever makes it here (the signal seemingly all absorbed in
Puyallup, much like the North Koreans), and it's my first log of it
since the last solar minimum. Three Alaskans heard also, including
KSDP, a rarity here. Also never heard CNR1 on 540, so another top notch
morning.
I know with certainty there was DX beyond listed here. I skipped
past some of the common stations during live listening, and in the
interests of time didn't check them all on reviewing the recording. My
review wasn't that rigourous either, for the same reason!
540 CNR1 CHINA Quite astounded to hear choral music, //other CNR1
channels, coming in through CBK at 1344. Not something I've ever noted
before.
558 HLQH S.KOREA Laid back vocal by a woman at 1302, woman announcer
in Korean at 1304.
567 JOIK Sapporo, JAPAN Man in Japanese, time pips at 1200
594 JOAK Tokyo, JAPAN Two men in Japanese at 1201, apparently at some
sports event.
603 HLSA S.KOREA Much easier to confirm // today, with Korean pops,
woman announcer at 1358
612 4QR Brisbane, AUSTRALIA talk by woman at 1407 with man on phone.
639 CNR1 Woman in Chinese at 1201, //981.
657 Making it through 660 Calgary splatter with choral music at 1353
666 JOBK Osaka, JAPAN Man in Japanese at 1301.
693 JOAB Tokyo, JAPAN Time pips at 1200, then woman in Japanese.
