As noted by Colin....yes, a better morning. May have missed one or two bits of
DX.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

747 JOIB 1520UT

774 JOUB 1505UT

828 JOBB 1510UT

972 HLSA 1508UT

1566 HLAZ woman then man in Korean 1729UT. I wasn't home, and the recording
ended a few minutes later, and there had already been several peaks since the
VoA ID and jingle at 1700UT (which actually wasn't as strong as these later
peaks). -72dBm, the best strength on this station all morning.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

594 JOAK 1507UT

639 CNR1 //1593 1518UT

1287 JOHR pop music 1539UT, had heard Japanese earlier on the channel, but not
this strong.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could
be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK //594 1522UT

603 HLSA //558 1512UT

945 CNR1 1523UT; signs of NHK1 on channel also

1098 CNR1 //756 1510UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH //603 1512UT

585 man in Chinese? 1502 and 1512UT

621 Heilongjiang RGD man and woman singing ballad, //900 on Seoul KiwiSDR (no
900 heard at home) 1555UT

702 man and woman talking Chinese intonation 1511UT

711 man talking, Korean intonation 1502UT

756 CNR1 //945 1506UT

819 orchestral music 1536UT

846 male ballad, no ideas; 1510UT

873 JOGB music box 1541UT

918 woman talking, Chinese intonation 1536UT; strong carrier

1323 CRI? oriental sounding flute music 1547UT

1377 CNR1 //1593 1548UT

1422 man talking Chinese intonation 1532UT

1575 Iranian jammer first noted 1516UT; not as noticeable as yesterday

1575 AFN assumed Misawa? jazzy female vocal music 1522UT; at 1527UT checked
Fukushima and Yokohama KiwiSDRs and both showed the same music as what I was
hearing, but louder.

1593 CNR1 //639 1518UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged
by splatter)

576 657 738 864 882 891 936 1017 1026 1107 1116 1206 1215 1242 1251 1458
1512  1557  seemed to be Asian;
1017 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
