Last night 702 kHz carried FRENCH at 0000! At 0059 it was probably in Kurdish // 1512 kHz. At 0100 it separated from 1512 kHz, playing NA. 1323 kHz was still off. At 0200, 0300 and 0400 702 and 1323 were //, in probable Azeri.

Yes, they did rather.   A bit unfortunate, having a DX opening on Christmas Eve.

Here, Farda was logged on 1575 at 0028UT  with weak piano music parallel to its webstream, during a fade down in the Iranian jammer.

And 702 kept fading up with everything from an old man carrying on (an interview?) 0034UT, some sort of stringed instrument like a guitar 0055UT, and  then male chanting (Koranic?)0101UT.   The same program was heard on SDRs in Ukraine and Russia, but not in Sardinia, so strongly suspect this was Iran external service? There is supposed be an Azeri program broadcast starting at 0320UT, but it has been heard earlier, according to Mauno Ritola.   I was hoping that the listed 1323 parallel was available, but couldn't find it on any of the KiwiSDRs.  And, although there seems to be a website for the Azeri program stream, it doesn't seem to work?

best wishes,

Nick
