Plastrons are something i do agree with though, if the worst does happen you know that 
you have something extra under your jacket that not only keeps you alive, but reduces 
the force of hits to that area

If Ken had worn a plastron when we were fencing he would still have two nipples as 
opposed to one and a lump of scarred flesh. He was being his usual awkward leftie self 
so i did flick hits on his chest but he insisted on parrying them so i increased the 
force of my hits. The blade still went around his parries but EVERY time it hit the 
same spot and a few times Ken was on the floor whimpering

You cant pay for that kind of entertainment! =)
