Nah, Piers is right, the fact that changes are being discussed and the ordinary fencers ideas and opinions are being asked for (and hopefully listened to) is a major step in itself. I've noticed improvements particularly in communication. When i was captain, there was very little contact from the Fed: after the AGM i was getting regular e mails and contacts informing me of developments with 5 Nations etc etc. Its a start that needs to be built upon. In the past clubs have operated too independently of each other with no cohesive direction in mind, now the Fed is becoming a more umbrella organisation which is what the sport needs in this country.
