Antidisestablishmenttarianism is indeed a real word and is sometimes cited as being the longest word in the english dictionary. However longer by two letters is dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane otherwise known as DDT. Officially it seems that the longest word in the dictionary is Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis although as can be seen from the link it's history is dubious.
