I was remembering that the IAFF are selling plastrons at the Irish Open last
year for our own safety, God bless 'em, for 60 i believe. This might have gone
up, i dunno. Was this 350N or 800N? This is supposed to be a 'discount'
price, so as to attract people to buy them from the IAFF, saving time and
money. Correct me if i'm wrong. Then why when searching the internet did i
come across a LARGE discrepancy(?) in prices from US sites, to English sites,
to German sites. $16 for 350N, $63 for FIE 800N standard on blade-fencing;
$30 for 350N, $63 for 800N on Leon Paul $45 for 350N, $85 for 800N on Duellist;
$105 for 800N on Allstar Give or take a dollar. Could
someone explain why the Federation is charging almost $80 for a plastron?
Couldn't they be bought cheaper from one of the above and at a discount because
they are a National Federation? I'm sure they'd do them a deal. Was it for 350N
or 800N?
