As Owen said, its not up to anyone else but the host club. UCD can host in July if they feel like it. As important as the Intervarsities is, the East of Ireland is 10 times as important. It attracts international fencers from continental Europe as further a field as well. Ranking points are also on offer to UK fencers thereby enhancing the attractiveness of the comp.
