There are two debates on the new board, both of which I feel can be discussed simultaneously here. 1) The current format of best of 9 matches should be replaced with the Italian Relay System. Reasons given are that it would be faster, more exciting. 2) Colleges should restrict the number of teams that any one fencer can be part of. For example a fencer could not take fence all weapons. This would allow more beginners to fence, at the same time not all colleges have enough people to do this and may depend on certain individuals fencing all three weapons. A number of points have been raised on both issues on the other board.
