Hmmm...I tried to run it both in IE and Chrome (The strange thing is that for
the supplied link it works well for both of them) when I download it, and when
I try to run it locally (or from iis or chiron) it does not. Even when I change
the url so it should point to the mail address where a version which is working
is located, it does not work. Could it be something with my version of windows?
(but that does not explain why the remote one,
http://www.voidspace.org.uk/ironpython/minimal2/index.html does work)

Sounds like it might be a problem with your Intranet security zone settings in
IE (assuming you are using IE).
We use IP in Silverlight, but it is a secondary compilation target (WPF is
primary). It still works as far as I know.

Yes, I suspected that. My last silverlight installation is 5, and my last .net
4.5 (ofcourse, I got into this "since it doesn't work, let me try to install
everything" trap).
What puzzles me is; If a view the silverlight xpa file from the web, it does
work. If I download it, (and the associated files) and try to run the files
from my computer, it don't! I don't understand why, after all, most of it seems
like a zip file and some js files.

It could be a versioning issue; check what version of SL you have, and what
version(s) you're building against.
Honestly, SL is a barely maintained; it never had a good test infrastructure,
and nobody has stepped up to provide support for it.
