There is no reason you can’t use Sphinx for IronPython code. Just as there is no reason you can’t use sphinx for C, C++, C# or any other language. There is nothing intrinsic about IronPython that prevents you from using Sphinx to document it. You may, as I have not tested this, need to run Sphinx itself in CPython though.
